SERVICES WE PROVIDE: 1 on 1 hydrotherapy

Our trained exercise physiologists will design and guide you through a hydro exercise program specific to your needs. This program is completed entirely in water in our onsite hydrotherapy pool. The buoyancy of the water allows for decreased weight-bearing, which means you can take the load off your joints and often exercise sooner than you would be able to on land. Our onsite hydrotherapy pool is one of the only pools you can access privately in the entire Sydney region.

The temperature of the pool is 34degrees.

Therapeutic benefits of hydrotherapy:

  • Muscular relaxation/reduction of muscle spasms

  • Progress weight-bearing capacity of injured lower limbs

  • Improvements in swelling due to hydrostatic pressure

  • Increased joint range of motion due to water buoyancy and reduced gravity

  • Improved muscle strength against water resistance and aquatic equipment

  • Improved balance and core stability

  • Improved cardiovascular fitness

Small group exercise classes

At Rehab First, we offer rehabilitation and strength classes with a maximum of 5 people per class run by our experienced exercise physiologists. Firstly, you will come in for an initial assessment, where you will sit with the exercise physiologist who will test your strength, mobility and function and discuss your health goals. They will create an exercise program specific to your needs. You can then join a class; The small class numbers mean the exercise physiologists can watch your form more closely and ensure you exercise safely, unlike mainstream gym classes. Our gym has a wide range of specialised equipment including Pilates reformers and trapeze tables, cardio equipment, cable machine, free weights, squat racks, parallel walking bars and rehab training stairs.

Classes run daily for 45min duration every day. Patients can claim each session with health fund.
